Engineering Technician (3rd Shift)

What you’ll do in this role…

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring thatour generators, engines, and components meet Kohler's high standards. You willwork closely with our Engineering team to develop new test procedures, improveour product, system, and process, and provide technical leadership to the team.If you are a driven individual with a strong mechanical and electrical aptitudeand are looking for a challenging role in a dynamic work environment, we want tohear from you!

Your day-to-day…

• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of generators / engines, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
• Analyze, interpret, document, and communicate test results.
• Assist in the development of new test set-ups and test procedures.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and 5S of test cells, workstation, test equipment.
• Demonstrate technical competency and participate in the continuous improvement process as it relates to your role.
• Manage Lab space, tools, components, work area, test cells.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, making product, system, and process improvement recommendations.

Skills/Requirements

• Familiarity with variety of measurement devices, includes scopes, data acquisition, and basic electronics systems required.
• Previous test or maintenance environment experience preferred.
• Experience with hardware and software programming a plus.
• Fabrication experience and use of hand tools helpful.
• Associate's Degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
